Ferrochrome - High Risk. High Rewards.

In 2017 we were approached by a client in the Ferrochrome mining business with a challenge to initiate the production of a non-saleable (low grade-35 to 40 % Cr, 15 to 25 % slag content) PAC product.
The Solution: The outcome lay in a build, own, operate and manage (BOOM) solution. This was a modular solution and entailed CoalMin-owned technologies.
The outcome: Our client was delighted with the outcome which, within a period of just four months, reduced the slag content from 97% in the feed, to a slag content of 2.5 % in the final product! Once again our unique, patented technologies had provided a bespoke solution to this client's specific problem.
